Social Distancing

Towards the new normal: measuring social distance

Tomorrow’s technology to solve today’s challenges

The emergence of COVID-19 has transformed priorities around the world, creating the need to measure human interactions and social distance to ensure effective infection prevention in the new normal.

Faced with this challenging and unseen paradigm, neuroons has developed an artificial intelligence-based solution that is capable of:

Calculate the distance of persons on monocular images irrespective of perspective.

Use a single machine vision model that does not need to be calibrated for each camera.

Optimised processing of video streams on the edge, ideally in the camera itself.

What is the technology behind it?

The solution can be applied to the measurement of flow, capacity and distance in public environments: shopping centres, educational centres, health centres, beaches, public transport, cultural and sports venues.

Our approach to respond to this imminent need is based on a neural network architecture that predicts 3D locations and corresponding confidence intervals from 2D human poses.

The solution offers:

01

Alerts and integration with warning systems, ensuring both regulatory compliance and privacy, as the software does not store video, images, or personal data.

02

A monitoring dashboard, since the machine vision model is pre-trained or retrainable for particular scenes.

03

A machine vision model optimized for edge processing.
